Cycle Insurance — backed by Laka
We have teamed up with Laka, the cycle insurance collective, so the bike you bought from us stays covered at home, on the commute and out on the trails. Theft, crash damage and accidental damage, no excess on bike claims, and cover you can pause or change whenever your riding does.
Why Laka
Laka is a collective: everyone's contributions cover the claims, and anything left over is shared back through the community. Independent cyclists have voted it Best Cycle Insurance Provider for eight years running.
There is no fixed premium. Laka works out your monthly contribution — up to a maximum capped amount — based on the claims the collective makes, so you are not overpaying for a quiet year.
When it goes wrong, cyclists handle it. Claim in the app and Laka arrange repairs or replacement with no depreciation and no excess on bike claims, so you get the right bike back, not a payout.
No twelve month lock-in. Upgrade your cover, add racing or worldwide travel, or pause it while you are off the bike — your policy moves when your riding does.

Questions
Laka does not set a fixed premium. Instead you agree a maximum monthly cap, and your contributions are calculated from the claims the collective makes in that month. Quiet months cost less; the cap means it can never run away.
Nothing on bike claims. Laka does not apply an excess and does not depreciate your bike, so a two year old bike is put right or replaced on a like-for-like basis.
Yes. Extra bikes in the same household used by family members get 50% off their cover, so a house full of bikes stays affordable.
Events including sportives, club rides, triathlon, gravel and time trialling are always covered. Racing that needs a licence and worldwide travel for up to 120 consecutive days are included with Complete or can be added to Core.
You claim through the Laka app. Their team arrange the repair, or replace the bike and kit with the latest model, and you can get up to £200 towards a rental bike while the claim is settled.
